Co-working spaces in Seattle

Ballard Labs

Website: http://www.ballardlabs.com/
Location: http://osm.org/go/WIX6yTfEt?node=4051961489

Pricing

Type cost / month description
Open workspace $299 daytime access, open workspace
In-between $350 24/7 access on top of open workspace
Designated $399 designated desk in open office space, allowed to keep equipment, currently none available until April
Full office n/a looks like they do full offices but not sure what this looks like in terms of price or availability

Contract

Able to collect payment directly from Mapbox. Monthly payments, 30 day notice for cancellation.

Can you leave equipment there (like a monitor)?

You can with the designated desks, and Arlen would be happy to let me leave a monitor in storage so I could pull it out and use in general workspace.

Meeting rooms

All booked through Google Calendar, one large meeting room and 4 single phone rooms

What times of day can I access the building?

Anything greater than lowest membership allows for 24/7 access

Can I have visitors work here? (day, week)?

Totally. Price depends on the timeline.

  • Just a day or so: happy to waive the cost
  • Couple days: $50 / day
  • Week or greater: pro-rate the time compared to the monthly price, which would be a lot cheaper than $50 / day

Is the space available for meetup groups?

Yes - it dies down every day by 8pm or so and the space can be used however. Open workspace is pretty low-use, which means you could get a small meetup going really any time of day.

What else?

Directly on bike canal bike path. Super close to downtown Ballard and a bunch of breweries. They do social events every 2 months or quarter, things like "charity poker events" and that standard mumbo jumbo. No beer on site 😢
