Drafts

Right now, Markbox doesn't support any kind of draft posting functionality. It's either in your post folder, or it's not. And if it's in your post folder, it's going to appear on the blog at some point in the not too distant future.

  • Wish: Add draft functionality.
  • Proposal 1: add metadata along the lines of "status: draft", draft posts don't ever appear on the main blog. When the status metadata is removed, the file can be published.
  • Proposal 2: have an additional folder alongside posts in which to store drafts. It's likely that you'd still need some metadata to eventually publish the draft (otherwise you're moving files around).
  • Workaround: compose posts in another unrelated folder, and move content into the posts folder when ready to publish.
