Sprint Weekly – Privacy Policy

Sprint Weekly – Privacy Policy Last Updated: January 17, 2026

Who we are Sprint Weekly ("the App") is a Jira Cloud application that helps teams generate sprint status summaries and reports inside Jira. The App is developed and operated by Alexander Lutterbach ("we", "us"). If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at: Email: support@datainsightlab.co

What this policy covers This Privacy Policy explains how the App processes information from your Atlassian Jira Cloud instance when you install and use Sprint Weekly. This policy applies only to: Your use of the Sprint Weekly Jira Cloud app Data the App accesses or processes through your Jira Cloud site

It does not apply to: Atlassian’s own handling of your data (see Atlassian’s privacy policy) Any other apps or services you use with Jira

Information we access from Jira To provide its functionality, the App may access the following categories of data from your Jira Cloud instance, depending on how you use it and how your Jira projects are configured:

Issue data Issue keys, summaries, descriptions, statuses Story points, estimates, time tracking fields Issue types, priorities, labels, custom fields Links and relationships between issues

Sprint and board data Sprint names, dates, and completion status Board configuration needed to identify which issues belong to a sprint

Basic user information Display names and user identifiers associated with issues (for example: assignee, reporter)

The App does not require or intentionally collect sensitive personal data. Any personal data that appears in issue fields is controlled by your Jira configuration and by how your users enter information.

How we use the information We use the data accessed from your Jira instance only to: Generate sprint status summaries, metrics, and reports Display those summaries and reports to you within Jira Allow you to export or download reports (for example as PDF or similar formats)

We do not use Jira data for: Advertising or marketing Building profiles of your users unrelated to the App’s functionality Selling data to third parties

Data storage and retention

Jira data The App processes Jira issues, sprints, and related data in order to calculate metrics and build reports. The App does not store Jira issue content (for example: summaries, descriptions, comments) outside Atlassian’s infrastructure except as needed temporarily in memory while generating a view or report.

Configuration data To provide a better experience, the App may store limited configuration data, such as: Which boards or projects you selected Display or report preferences App specific settings

This configuration data may be stored using Atlassian Forge storage or other Atlassian recommended mechanisms. We retain configuration data for as long as the app is installed or as needed to provide the service. If you uninstall the App, configuration data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period (normally within 30 days), subject to technical and backup limitations.

Logs and diagnostic data We may collect limited logs and diagnostic information related to your use of the App, such as: Technical error logs Performance metrics Requests from your Jira site to the App

These logs are used only to operate, secure, and improve the App. They are not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

Data sharing We do not sell or rent your data. We may share limited information only in the following cases:

Service providers If we use third party infrastructure or tools (for example hosting or logging providers), they may process data on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect your information and use it only for the services we request.

Legal requirements We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not share Jira data with third parties for their independent marketing or advertising purposes.

Security We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect information processed by the App, which may include: Use of secure connections (HTTPS) for data in transit where supported Access controls so only authorized personnel can access operational systems Limiting stored data to what is necessary for the App’s functionality

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. However, we strive to follow industry standard practices appropriate for the nature of the data processed.

Your responsibilities You are responsible for: Configuring Jira fields and workflows in line with your organization’s own policies and legal requirements Avoiding storage of sensitive personal data in Jira fields that are not intended for such information Managing your users’ access to Jira and to the App

If you believe the App is accessing data in a way that is inconsistent with this policy, please contact us using the email address above.

Children The App is intended for use by organizations and professional users of Atlassian Jira. It is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was most recently revised. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to make you aware of them, such as updating documentation or release notes. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted means that you accept the updated policy.
