Privacy Policy for X AI Detector

Effective Date: Monday Jul 7 2025

1. Overview

X AI Detector is a Chrome extension designed to analyze and label tweets on Twitter/X with a “Low”, “Medium”, or “High” likelihood of being AI-generated. The extension processes tweet content locally in your browser to provide this functionality.

2. Information We Collect

X AI Detector does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) or any user data to external servers.

The extension reads tweet text and related website content displayed in your browser tab solely to:

  • Analyze sentence structure and word choice
  • Apply detection heuristics
  • Display a badge indicating AI-likelihood next to each tweet

This processing is done entirely locally on your device and no data leaves your browser.

3. Use of Information

We do not collect or transmit your data, so we do not use your data for:

  • Advertising or marketing
  • User profiling
  • Creditworthiness or lending purposes
  • Selling to third parties

X AI Detector operates solely to fulfill its single stated purpose of labeling AI-generated tweet likelihood for user awareness.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer any user data to third parties.

5. Security

Since X AI Detector does not store or transmit user data, there is no data to secure or breach.
