ChefClip is a Chrome extension designed to help users save, organize, and copy recipes efficiently. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how the extension operates.

🔒 Data Collection & Storage
✅ No Tracking: ChefClip does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
✅ Local & Synced Storage:

Recipes are saved locally on your device using Chrome Sync.
If Chrome Sync is enabled, saved recipes are synced across devices linked to your Chrome account.
Users can disable Chrome Sync in their browser settings if they prefer local storage only.
✅ No External Servers: ChefClip does not send data to any external servers or third parties.

📧 Email Feature & Data Handling
ChefClip provides a "📧 Email Recipe" feature for user convenience.

🔹 How It Works:

When a user clicks "Email Recipe" or "Email All Recipes," ChefClip opens their default email client (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) using a mailto: link.
The extension does not access, store, or send emails itself—all emails are handled by the user’s chosen email provider.
✅ Emails are never logged, tracked, or transmitted by ChefClip.

🔑 Permissions Used & Why
ChefClip requests only the minimum necessary permissions for functionality:

1️⃣ storage – Used to save and sync recipes across devices via Chrome Sync.
2️⃣ clipboardWrite – Allows users to copy recipes to the clipboard for easy sharing.

✅ These permissions do not allow us to access, transmit, or share any of your personal information.
