Privacy Policy for TabTail – Smart Tab Manager

Summary

TabTail is a local, client-side browser extension. It does not collect, store, or transmit personal information to external servers. All operations on tabs occur locally within the user's browser.

Data access and use

  • Tabs & URLs: TabTail reads open tab titles and URLs only to provide features (duplicate detection, grouping, restoring positions). This information is not sent anywhere.
  • Local storage: Saved snapshots and user preferences are stored in the browser's chrome.storage (local or sync). They are only accessible by the extension and the user.
  • No analytics: The extension does not include analytics or telemetry.
