Webpage Context: To provide accurate analysis, we may collect the URL of the page you are on and a snippet of the surrounding text (context) to help the AI understand the claim. AI Interactions: If you use the "Audit AI" feature, we collect the recent chat history of the interaction you are auditing. 3. How We Use Your Information The information collected is used solely to:
Perform fact-checking and accuracy analysis via our secure backend. Generate verdicts, summaries, and source citations. Improve the accuracy of our auditing algorithms. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties.

Remote Processing: Data is sent to a secure backend hosted on Vercel and processed by the Google Gemini API.
No Permanent Storage: We do not store the text you fact-check or your chat histories on our servers after the analysis is complete.
Encryption: All data is transmitted over secure, encrypted HTTPS connections.

Third-Party Services Theia utilizes the Google Gemini API for natural language processing. Your data is handled in accordance with Google's Generative AI Privacy Notice.

Your Choices Theia only processes data when you explicitly trigger an action (e.g., clicking a button or using a context menu). It does not "read" your browsing history or monitor your activity in the background.
