The comment is a little bit late but may help anyone. For products VMware-Workstation-Full-17.0.0-20800274.x86_64.bundle, the product Key MC60H-DWHD5-H80U9-6V85M-8280D worked for me. This Key was not acceptable but when I restart WMware and turn off my internet, It works as expected.

are the keys generated because like instead of a license server, an algorithm validates the keys or are they brute forced till one is found that is a volume with no expiration?

i only have one question, when it pops up for an update i try to and it asks for administrator password, whenever i put my root password for my Ubuntu 22.04 machine it denies it everytime. I'm assuming that the original owner password is needed? I'm fine with how it is but was just curious. Thank you inadvance.
