Game Workers Unite - How to Safely Leak Information

Unfortunately, sometimes you may find yourself in a scenario where you feel like you need to safely whistleblow about illegal and/or immoral practices in your studio or organization. Information needs to be transferred safely and securely, but most importantly anonymously. This article outlines how, exactly, you can relay information to GWU.

How to save information

There are common misconceptions on how to save information without getting caught. The first thing you need to know is that you must screenshot anything you wish to leak. Never directly save files. This is necessary because it's possible to insert zero-space characters in text that can uniquely identify who has said information. Though there are ways to detect these characters it's only a cat-and-mouse game and screenshotting is the easiest way to obtain data.

Contacting GWU

The safest way to get information to us is to use email. Make a ProtonMail or other
