Improvement suggestion for creating annual reports

The following feature seems to have been requested in forums often in recent years. As it has not been implemented yet, I'd like to bring this to your attention:

When doing my accounting in January, I need to enter numerous dates from the previous year.

It's very tedious to always enter the same (previous) year for each of the dates. If I don't, Excel uses the current year, which is not what I want.

There are many workarounds available: (a) Write a script, (b) use a formula (e.g. "xx - 365", or even more complex, given leap years) etc. … But these don't work with pre-built Excel worksheets.

Hence, I'd like to propose the following:

9 Things I Hate About Microsoft Maps App Navigation

9 Things I Hate About Microsoft Maps App Navigation

  1. Downloading a single country's offline map (e.g. Germany) takes almost an hour!

  2. Downloading offline maps isn't performed in the background. When I leave the Offline Maps Settings panel, downloading stops!

  3. Even after having downloaded the corresponding offline map, Map app's address search doesn't find any address when no network connection is available! Search just bangs its head against no response and aborts with no result after a minute.

  4. When navigation starts, the map's scale is set to a large value, so the whole route is getting displayed in just a tiny fraction of the app's window! There's plenty of unused space left around the route!

Microsoft Surface Go 4 Wishlist

The Surface Go is an almost perfect companion for travelling.

The small form factor is ideal for travelling by train/bus/airplane. It should keep its small form factor (or even become smaller) with future revisions.

I propose, though, the Surface Go should come with GSM telephony support, so it could then be used for making phone calls using the inserted LTE SIM card.

Telephony support would be a perfect enhancement. The Surface Go could be used for business travels by bus/train, or making phone calls via a car's Bluetooth hands-free equipment, thus replacing smartphones for pro users.

Moreover, to accommodate travels, the Maps app should greatly be improved along:

Proposal: Keep Your Framework/Language Documentation Manageable

Currently, numerous beautiful standards, frameworks and computer languages exist that we all love to use or which we may be required to use.

Unfortunately, with the advent of online documentation, documentation authors more and more seem to lose their sense of providing information in a conclusive and informative yet concise manner.

For Example:

At the time of writing this Gist, the Angular documentation alone takes almost 1,200 printed pages to read. Webpack documentation is equally monstrous: It takes almost 800 pages!
