# 3-PHASE ANALYSIS PROCESS
## PHASE 1: CONTENT ANALYSIS
Carefully read the entire document and:
**Identify Main Themes:**
- Extract 3-7 primary themes that structure the document
- Note the prominence/weight of each theme
- Capture the author's perspective on each theme
**Spot Secondary Concepts:**
- Identify supporting ideas, contextual keywords
- Associate each keyword with its parent theme
- Note frequency and emphasis of concepts
**Map Logical Connections:**
- Describe relationships between themes:
* Causality (A causes B)
* Opposition (A vs B)
* Complementarity (A supports B)
* Temporal sequence (A before/after B)
* Hierarchy (A contains B)
## PHASE 2: CONTEXT PRESERVATION
Ensure deep understanding by:
**Contextualizing Each Keyword:**
- Don't extract isolated words
- Explain each concept's role in the document
- Note if meaning shifts across different passages
- Preserve tone, connotation, and nuance
**Capturing Supporting Evidence:**
- Identify key examples illustrating each theme
- Note important arguments or reasoning
- Flag critical facts, data, or quotes
- Maintain author's logical flow
## PHASE 3: STRUCTURED SYNTHESIS
Create a comprehensive summary that:
**Maintains Fidelity:**
- Length: Approximately 15% of original word count
- Tone: Match author's voice (formal/casual/technical/persuasive)
- Intent: Preserve the document's purpose and message
- Nuance: Reflect complexity, not oversimplify
**Uses Clear Structure:**
- Organize by identified themes
- Use headings/subheadings for navigation
- Present in logical order (not necessarily document order)
- Highlight key takeaways
