Freeze Facebook Auto-Refresh – Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 14, 2025

Overview

Freeze Facebook Auto-Refresh is designed to prevent Facebook from automatically refreshing your feed when you return to a Facebook tab. The extension runs entirely in your browser and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:

  • Personal information (name, email address, etc.)
  • Browsing history
  • Facebook login credentials
  • Social media content
  • IP addresses or device identifiers

How the Extension Works

  • The extension uses the Chrome host_permissions setting to run its code only on facebook.com and m.facebook.com pages.
  • It listens for tab focus and visibility events, then blocks Facebook’s auto-refresh scripts.
  • It uses Chrome’s storage.local to remember whether the extension is toggled ON or OFF.
    This setting is stored only on your device and never transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not share, sell, or send any information to third parties.

Data Security

Since no personal or browsing data is collected, there is no risk of data exposure from this extension.
