This Privacy Policy describes how PrepPanel handles information when you use our Chrome Extension. Our commitment is to your privacy, and our policy is simple: we do not collect your personal information.
PrepPanel does not collect, transmit, save, or have access to any of your personal data on our servers or any third-party servers. We do not track your Browse activity or your usage of the extension.
To function, PrepPanel needs you to input your classroom data. This data is stored only on your local computer using Chrome's built-in storage technology (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your computer and is never sent to us or anyone else.
The data you provide that is stored locally includes:
- Class names and section settings
- Student rosters
- Participation logs (which students were called on, their status, etc.)
- Custom Grouping Rules ("Always with" / "Never with" pairs)
The data listed above is used exclusively to provide the core functionality of the PrepPanel extension on your own browser. For example, your rosters are used to populate the student picker, and your participation logs are used to generate the reports that only you can see.
PrepPanel uses Google Fonts to load custom fonts for styling purposes. This is a standard resource for web design and does not grant us access to any of your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy in the future. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our Chrome Web Store page.
