- Free shot doesn't carry over.
- On first shot (free shot) following the foul any ball can be played and/or potted (except the Eight-Ball if it's not "on"). Any other foul is not allowed. (Including not hitting any balls or banks).
- After potting the cue ball (or sending it outside the table), it has to be placed anywhere behind the white line and shoot forward off the line.
- If intentionally snookering, at least one of the balls must touch a bank or be pocketed.
- When the Eight-Ball is "on", the pocked has to be nominated.
- Foul when potting the Eight-Ball loses the game.
- If the Eight-Ball is potted on any break, the balls are re-racked and the same player will break again.
- Deciding the colours:
- If no Colours are potted on the break the table is "Open".
- If one or more Colours are potted on the break the player then has a right and obligation to verbally advise the referee of a choice of Colour before proceeding.
- If the player nominates a Colour that was potted on the break, the player is on that colour no matter what happens next.
- If the player nominates a Colour that was not potted on the break, to be on that Colour, the player must pot a ball of that Colour on the next shot.
