Ubiquiti USG Enterprise Gateway Router
$119 | |
Decided to use instead of the MikroTik because the management tools for the UAP-AC-PRO-E show a large number of additional graphs / features that can only be taken advantage of if you pair a USG

MikroTik RouterBoard RB750GL
$0 (already had, previous primary router)
Ubiquiti doesn't ship DNS caching or setting DNS overrides for the local network (there are ways it is possible, but they're hacky) so I just reconfigured my old router to not route and put it on the network at a new IP and reconfigured the USG to assign its IP as the DNS server to all devices on the network. I use overrides somewhat often, so this was sothing I couldn't get away without.
