Controller:
https://www.ispsupplies.com/UC-CK_2
$80
Ubiquiti "Cloud Key"
Easier to use when managing multiple APs on different networks
Raspberry Pi
$less or $0 if you have one already
https://lazyadmin.nl/it/installing-unifi-controller-on-a-raspberry-pi-in-5-min/
Access Point:
https://www.ispsupplies.com/UAP-AC-PRO-E-Ubiquiti-UniFi-AC-Access-Point
Ubiquiti UAP-AC-PRO-E
$143
1300Mb/s on 5.8; 450Mb/s on 2.4
Regardless of what the spec sheet says, does NOT come with POE adapter; needs 48v @ 0.5A Gigabit
https://www.ispsupplies.com/Ubiquiti-POE-48-24W-G $16
Requires a controller to run (though not TECHNICALLY on the network being managed)
Install the AP against the controller: https://lazyadmin.nl/it/how-to-install-a-ubiquiti-unifi-access-point/
Router:
https://www.ispsupplies.com/Ubiquiti-USG
Ubiquiti USG Enterprise Gateway Router
$119
Decided to use instead of the MikroTik because the management tools for the UAP-AC-PRO-E show a large number of additional graphs / features that can only be taken advantage of if you pair a USG
Network DNS:
MikroTik RouterBoard RB750GL
$0 (already had, previous primary router)
Ubiquiti doesn't ship DNS caching or setting DNS overrides for the local network (there are ways it is possible, but they're hacky) so I just reconfigured my old router to not route and put it on the network at a new IP and reconfigured the USG to assign its IP as the DNS server to all devices on the network. I use overrides somewhat often, so this was sothing I couldn't get away without.

Other possible routers considered:

MikroTik hEX (RB750Gr3)
$53.10
5 port gigabit router
