XTabs (the “Extension”) is designed to close inactive tabs automatically after a user-defined time and display a history of closed tabs. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and how it is kept secure.

Data Collection & Usage
	1.	Tab Information
	•	The Extension reads tab URLs, titles, and group names (if available) solely to determine which tabs to close and display in the history section.
	•	This data is not transmitted to any external server. It remains local to your browser.
	2.	User-Defined Timers & Preferences
	•	Custom timers, exclusion lists, and other preferences are stored locally using Chrome’s storage APIs. No external or remote database is used.
	3.	No Personal or Sensitive Data
	•	The Extension does not collect or use personal details (like name, address, email, or phone numbers) or sensitive data (health, payment info, etc.).
	4.	No Data Sharing
	•	The Extension does not sell, share, or otherwise transfer any collected data to third parties.

Security
	•	All data is handled and stored locally by your browser.
	•	No data leaves your machine; therefore, standard browser security applies (no external transmissions).

Updates & Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in functionality or for legal reasons. Any updates will be published under the same public link you are reading now. By continuing to use the Extension, you agree to the updated policy.
