LinkedIn Comment Generator is a browser extension that helps users generate professional comments for LinkedIn posts using AI.

## Data Collection

### What we collect:
- **Post content**: The text of LinkedIn posts you choose to generate comments for (temporarily, only during processing)
- **User preferences**: Your preferred comment tone settings (stored locally in your browser)

### What we DO NOT collect:
- Personal information (name, email, etc.)
- LinkedIn credentials
- Browsing history
- Any data from pages other than LinkedIn

## Data Usage

- Post content is sent to our backend server solely to generate a relevant comment
- Data is processed in real-time and **not stored** on our servers
- No data is sold or shared with third parties

## Data Storage

- User preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API
- No personal data is stored on external servers

## Third-Party Services

The extension uses a backend API hosted on Railway for AI comment generation. No user data is retained after processing.

## Your Rights

You can:
- Clear all stored preferences by removing the extension
- Choose not to use the extension on specific posts
