10:51 <bolster> Is it passable to describe a movie as being "If Ed Wood and Christopher Walken had a thalidomide baby" or is that too much?
10:51 <bolster> Oh, maybe should have started with "Morning"
10:56 <clairebones> bolster: if it's the movie I think you're referring to it's probably apt
10:58 <^Richard> o_O
10:59 <bolster> clairebones: yup, just concious that as a statement it sits on the very bloodiest edge of decorum. Much like the movie.
11:02 <stealthii> film in question: http://imgur.com/C0PoSVX
11:03 <^Richard> even the description is fucking mental.
11:03 <stealthii> that's my favourite bit.
11:04 <stealthii> of course he didn't hit her
11:04 <stealthii> men don't hit.
11:04 <stealthii> bolster: what was the film like itself? i thoroughly enjoyed reading about it
11:06 <bolster> I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, but that was more to do with the audience and the atmosphere (and frankly, the overwhelming and constant disbelief that this was actually happening and I wasn't in the midst of some stroke or fit)
11:06 <stealthii> when a film is written by, directed by, and has the main actor of, all the same person, you know you're in for a self-indulgent failure
11:06 <stealthii> wow, according to imdb this piece of shit estimated a budget of $6,000,000
11:06 <stealthii> http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368226/
11:07 <stealthii> grossed $1,900.
11:07 <bolster> but as I said, the worst acting, worst direction, worst script, worst production design, worst casting, worst idea, worst storyline, worst costuming, worst everything.
11:07 <bolster> there was no redeeming feature to the movie itself
11:08 <bolster> it constantly and consistently snatched disaster from the jaws of success in every frame of every scene
11:09 <clairebones> didn't have to pay most of the cost of making it too, because nobody else would?
11:09 <clairebones> didn't he*
11:09 <bolster> and Tommy Wiseau is quite possibly the most disturbing man on the planet in person, as if Michael Jackson and Carrot Top had a lovechild via Ellen DeGeneres by spunkling into a sippy cup.
11:10 <bolster> the fact that he goes around and makes money from this crime against cinema has finally severed any hope for humanity I had left
11:11 <bolster> and if I see another plastic spoon in my lifetime I'm going to shove it up the owners toenail
11:12 <stealthii> it's described as a "quirky black comedy"
11:12 <stealthii> "best film of the year"
11:12 <stealthii> (said no-one ever notable)
11:12 <^Richard> heh
11:13 <bolster> I enjoyed the experience, but can't in good conscience recommend the ensemble to anyone without first having their mind, personality, and sanity backed up onto some 22nd century Synology and getting them insanely drunk before during and after.
