Google Summer of Code 2017 Summary - User experience enhancement

Introduction

In the summer of 2017 I have participated in GSoC working with organization Matrix.org on Riot.im iOS app. It was a very good experience working with my mentor Giom and his colleague Manu who taught me many things and were always ready to answer any questions that I had. The communication between me and them took place in the project I was working on itself - Riot! Discussions about the project and the implementation details took place in a public room

My work during the summer deviated from the original proposal because some features that I proposed were done in another GSoC project or planned before the project start, nevertheless I have contributed to Riot in a way that was useful both for me and the organization. My work includes 3D Touch actions, Application Extension support for libraries along with 2 Extensions - A Share Extension to share content from anywhere to Riot and a Widget. The main part of the time was spent on the extensions. The share capability and RR details were features that were requested by a number of Riot iOS users.
