sudo apt install texlive-fonts-recommended | |
sudo apt install libopenvas9-dev | |
#update the network vulnerability tests database. | |
sudo greenbone-nvt-sync | |
sudo greenbone-scapdata-sync | |
sudo greenbone-certdata-sync | |
#restart the OpenVAS scanner, manager and security assistant. | |
sudo systemctl restart openvas-scanner | |
sudo systemctl restart openvas-manager | |
sudo systemctl restart openvas-gsa | |
#enable the services | |
sudo systemctl enable openvas-scanner | |
sudo systemctl enable openvas-manager | |
sudo systemctl enable openvas-gsa | |
#confirm that the openvas processes are running. | |
ps aux | grep openvas | |
#go to IP_address_of_server:4000. The default login credentials are: “admin” as username and password. | |
