kimchi fried rice

Ingredients

  • 1 servings cooked rice (each serving is made from 0.75 cup uncooked rice).
  • 1 cup kimchi
  • 1 onion
  • 1 stalk green onion
  • 1 tbsp gochugaru
  • 1.5 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice syrup (halve to make hotter)
  • 0.5lb meat such as chicken, spam (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop onion and green onion.
  2. Cut kimchi into 2cm-long pieces and set aside.
  3. If adding meat, chop spam/chicken/pork/beef into bite sized pieces.
  4. Fry onion and green onion with drop of oil.
  5. Optionally add meat and cook until almost cooked.
  6. Add and fry kimchi.
  7. separately mix gochugaru (2 parts), soy sauce (1 part), and sugar (2 parts).
  8. Sprinkle mixture around the edges
  9. Add cooked rice and fry until rice is slightly browned
  10. Optionally add mozeralla and/or fried eggs
