Hello.
I am seeking first-round seed funding for my new startup, Eggtronix.
We have a dedicated, passionate team of engineers and artists who are passionate about eggs and believe in our new innovation, which will revolutionize the egg industry.
For a long time the refrigerators of households throughout the world have been burdened with half-empty cartons of eggs, untapped potential winding up neglected, rotting shut off from the light, when they could be providing value to the lives of consumers.
That is why we are proud to announce our concept which has the potential to disrupt the industry as we know it and improve lives worldwide: Egg As A Service.
This may sound confusing or bizarre, but when the issue is looked at with a critical and discerning eye, the benefits are clear and the implementation is already familiar to most.
Our team has created a bespoke mobile and web application which provides an easy interface for new and existing customers to sign up, manage billing, get support, and of course, get eggs.
Our current pricing model includes three plans, offering flexibility and clarity to the consumer while retaining the ability to monetize via upsell opportunities.
The current working titles for the plans are: Medium, Large, and Jumbo.
Medium is the introductory plan which charges no sign-up or monthly fees, and is a fixed-rate charge per egg with no price breaks for bulk orders, as well as rate-limiting, making this the ideal plan for users getting started with Eggtronix as well as small households which have yet to recognize the potential of the egg or want to evaluate their egg usage before upgrading to another plan.
The large plan is ideal for larger households or small businesses, offering varying tiers of automatic egg quantity deliveries on a bi-weekly or monthly basis for just one simple monthly charge at a slightly discounted per-egg basis, while still retaining the flexibility of the Medium tier's on-demand delivery services for unexpected egg needs or natural disasters.
Jumbo is the most full-featured plan, targeted to mainly institutional consumers, medium to large businesses, commercial kitchens and restaurants, as well as supermarkets and grocery outlets. This service charges a base quarterly or yearly fee, providing access to on-demand 24/7 phone and email support, customized recurring delivery schedules, expedited bulk orders, and a per-unit price on quality eggs that is better than any rate currently available in the market. Jumbo plans also offer the option of a formal Egg Service Level Agreement contract for an additional yearly charge, for those egg connoisseurs and governmental institutions who often must meet the needs of a capricious and highly time-sensitive market. With Jumbo, there are no additional fees for on-demand deliveries of any quantity, from one to the bulk order threshold.
All plans utilize our sophisticated technological backend to link users' egg needs with our network of farms, distributors, and delivery drivers, reducing operational costs and providing a key competitive advantage in the low-margin egg market.
Every delivery is transported by a dedicated guardian, who ensures the physical safety, authenticity, freedom from tampering, and continuous cold chain from the moment the eggs leave our Fillment Centers to their arrival at your premises.
This is the Eggtronix Guarantee: we are so confident in the quality and professionalism of every member of our staff and contracted drivers that we will provide expedited replacement or immediate refund, for any product which is delivered to you damaged, tampered, counterfeit, or spoiled.
Market research indicates that the egg market is rife with shady, back-alley egg dealers fronting as legitimate operations, with many customers from individual to governmental agency indicating dissatisfaction with the products and services they currently recieve, and frustration with the lack of suitable alternative solutions currently available.
We project that market share will quickly grow in our initial target areas, major cities and goverment hubs which have above-average density of egg utilization, due to the high level of communication and connectedness among the tightly-linked networks of egg users in these environments allowing word-of-mouth to spread quickly, as wildfire through a prarie from a lone spark.
With the funding we recieve from this initial seed round, Eggtronix will construct our first Fillment Center in a city selected from our shortlist on the basis of optimal egg demand cycle timing.
One of the crucial elements to the success of our business is the reliability and professionalism of those we contract as drivers and egg guardians, necessitating a far more stringent selection process than is typically required for flexible, dynamic 'gig economy' delivery positions. In order to jumpstart this process, talent scouting will need to commence in advance of the completion of the physical Fillment Center, utilizing free pop-up seminars on college campuses and city centers to attract those who are truly passionate and driven by eggs.
Also equally important is the attainment of contracts for freight and air deliveries to our Fillment Center, utilizing multiple local and national carriers to provide continuous availability of temperature-controlled, fragile cargo. Fallback contracts with carriers across multiple shipment modalities ensures redundant access to supply and an uninterrupted flow of eggs to egg users.
While collecting data from this first phase of our business operation, anticipated to last between 6 to 8 months, our administration and engineering teams will evaluate key performance metrics and perform comprehensive analytics, identifying inefficiencies, successes, and unexpected problems to create actionable changes to our policies, procedures, and business strategies.
Surveys will be regularly conducted over the phone as well as at locations like libraries, supermarkets, shopping malls, and egg enthusiasts clubs in the targeted market to evaluate the spread of name recognition and brand familiarity, also providing valuable feedback to assess the efficacy of any marketing campaigns we run during the intial operation.
At the conclusion of this first evaluation time period, Eggtronix will use information gained from the operation to provide a summary analysis detailing current application metrics, financial performance, customer satisfaction, name recognition/awareness, delivery performance metrics, insights gained, and lessons learned. This process is expected to take approximately two to four weeks, delivering a final report which will be provided to all seed investors.
We then expect to conduct our Series A funding round, to expand our services to other high-potential target markets and use knowledge gleaned from the evaluation period to refine and streamline our business operations.
