Declaring a conref

[id:power-off](Make sure that power to the fixture where you are installing the light bulb is turned OFF.)

Declaring a conref would require giving the topic a fixed id in order to have a path for referencing in DITA-compatible syntax.

Inserting a phrase with @props

Make sure that power to the fixture where you are installing the light bulb is turned OFF [ph:ppe](and that you are wearing your personal protective equipment)

ID in headings

# Installing the network {#install}

This would make the YAML-based id system proposed in our committee note obsolete.

Output class (or class?) in headings

# Installing the network {.highlight}

Referencing a conref

[conref:low-power.html#low-power/power-off]

or

[conref:low-power.md#low-power/power-off]

or

[conref:low-power.dita#low-power/power-off]
