Secured HLS setup with Nginx as media server

This example is part of this article.

This is an example for an HLS delivery with basic security. Nginx compiled with nginx-rtmp-module & secure-link is used as media server. Features:

  • Domain filtering
  • Referrer filtering
  • Embed buster

Install Cloud9 IDE under CentOS 7 with Let's Encrypt SSL

First, get a working CentOS 7 server with your preferred stack. Next, install requirements:

yum groupinstall -y development
yum install -y git glibc-static epel-release nodejs npm

Now clone the git repo and Install the Cloud9 SDK:

git clone https://github.com/c9/core.git c9sdk
