Complete Google Drive File Picker example

Google Drive File Picker Example

This is an example of how to use the Google Drive file picker and Google Drive API to retrieve files from Google Drive using pure JavaScript. At the time of writing (14th July 2013), Google have good examples for using these two APIs separately, but no documentation on using them together.

Note that this is just sample code, designed to be concise to demonstrate the API. In a production environment, you should include more error handling.

See a demo at http://stuff.dan.cx/js/filepicker/google/

A CSS pseudo-element is used to style specified parts of an element. In some cases you can style native HTML controls with vendor specific pseudo-elements. Here you will find an list of cross browser specific pseudo-element selectors.

Styling native elements

Native HTML controls are a challenge to style. You can style any element in the web platform that uses Shadow DOM with a pseudo element ::pseudo-element or the /deep/ path selector.

video::webkit-media-controls-timeline {
  background-color: lime;
}

video /deep/ input[type=range] {
<script>
document.write('<script src=' +
('__proto__' in {} ? 'zepto' : 'jquery') +
'.js><\/script>')
</script>
