Search for SSL section and edit from

# socket line above, and possibly edit the SSL variable:

#  -DUSE_SSL -I$(SSL)/include -I$(SSL)/include/openssl \
#  -L$(SSL)/lib -lssl -lcrypto

to

SSL=/path/to/openssl # e.g. /opt/python/deps/openssl
_ssl _ssl.c \
