Below is the walkthrough on how to setup and use the Ledger Nano S, with the Neon wallet.

I spent about three months developing it in my spare time, a hour here and a hour there.

That being said, I would like to know who uses it. So if you want to, claim a block of gas and send it to me at the above address. If you prefer to remain anonymous, that's fine too, I'm also (mostly) anonymous.

How to setup the Ledger Nano S and the Neon Wallet

1. get the ledger app manager from ledger

2. download the NEO app

3. open the neo app

4. get the new neon wallet (0.0.7 or greater)

5. Open the neon wallet

6. log in using Ledger

7. send NEO or GAS to the address

8. Click both buttons on the ledger to sign any transaction

9. Click a single button (not both together) to look at the transaction details

10. To deny the transaction, click single buttons to navigate to the "Deny TX" screen, then click both buttons at the same time to deny the transaction.

i tried using this on 2 different computers, both running linux. on ubuntu using the Appimage file, all goes as you describe above, however on the other machine running gentoo, i get the following error when i try to 'log in' using the neon wallet:
Finding USB Error: Error: cannot open device with path 0002:0054:00. Connect device and try again.

any ideas? do you have suggestions on how i could try and fix the issue?

I'm having the same problem on Linux :(

According to bitfinex, the generated public neo key of the neon wallet (used with a ledger nano s) is invalid.
Any idea how to solve this issue?

Today I logged in using passphrase, privite key and encrypted private key to ensure all functioned on my existing 0.0.5 neon wallet. Is updating as simple as my list below.

Download current version 0.1.2 from GitHub. Login using saved wallet or encrypted privite key or private key from existing wallet. Once logged in my neo and gas will populate.

Will the current 0.1.2 version install on top of my existing wallet or will I need to uninstall it?

I’ve been delaying this update far too long but once completed, I will tackle the nano s log in - baby steps.
