This week, my primary focus was on our Admin panel, with special attention directed towards the statistics section of our Admin, which had been temporarily deactivated because of performance issues. My effort to concentrate on this area marked a shift from the previous week's tasks, where I dedicated a considerable amount of time to managing our CRM and Intercom systems.
Despite the change in focus, the transition from handling CRM and Intercom to emphasizing the statistics section was smooth. I aimed to address and improve the performance issues that necessitated its deactivation, understanding that these statistics are vital for our operations and decision-making processes. My work this week was a step towards not only bringing the statistics section back online but also ensuring it would run more efficiently to support our team's needs.

This week, my primary focus was on finishing the admin tasks that were pending. Although I had planned to dedicate more time to this, I found that I was only able to commit two days to it last week. Despite the limited progress, it remained at the top of my priority list.
In addition to the administrative duties, I also aimed to work on shipping Rails 5. This task was my secondary objective for the week, tabbed for attention once the pressing admin work was dealt with. My efforts were balanced between these two goals, with a clear emphasis on clearing the backlog of administrative tasks first and foremost.

This week, I decided to shift my focus from administrative tasks, despite having a few items left on my wishlist, such as completing the revenue report, adding a Lifetime Value (LTV) report, and creating a report on question popularity. Instead, I've dedicated this week to updating our system to Rails 5 and working on Slack integration. The primary reason behind moving to Rails 5 is to keep pace with upcoming updates, specifically the transition to Rails 5.1, which would be more challenging if we tried to upgrade from Rails 4 directly to 5.1. I've planned a step-by-step approach to make this migration smoother.
My goal was to complete the Rails 5 update within the first couple of days of the week, allowing me to focus the remainder of the week on integrating Slack into our workflow. I anticipate that the Slack integration may be a more time-consuming task, potentially extending beyond this week. However, making these updates is crucial for staying current with technology trends and ensuring our work processes remain efficient. Completing the Rails 5 update promptly will not only bring us up to speed but also facilitate a smoother transition to further updates.
