Senior React developer

Remote or on-site.

As always, we're mainly looking for the right attitude rather than an exact set of experiences.

Location

We're based in a fun, open office in Moorgate, London.

Ultimately, we're trying to help businesses in the activities/experiences industry come online and grow by increasing revenue and reducing admin.

We try and be very open and transparent at all times. Everyone in the team has pretty much unrestricted access to same information, data and analysis that the founders have. We want to try and build the company with happy employees, and I think I'm fairly safe in saying that so far it's going pretty damn well!

Our Stack

Our stack is simple. Nothing's in the stack that doesn't need to be.

  • Rails 6
  • React/Apollo
  • RSpec/Jest
  • SQL (used directly a decent amount for some advanced queries)
  • Heroku

The Role

We're looking for a self-starter that shares our values when it comes to code; high-quality and robust.

We want the successful candidate to take ownership of the React part of eola, ensuring we have great code quality, performance and processes.

We have clear goals, but will take a hands-off approach on the day-to-day stuff; we're looking for someone we can trust to deliver great stuff reliably. That being said, if you need any help, we can sit down together and pair up. Whatever produces the best results! 😌

Being hire number 4 in the tech team, you'd obviously have a clear growth trajectory; growing with us as the team grows. On that note, we're about to close a large seed round.

Essential skills

  • Great react knowledge
  • Intimate knowledge of JS infrastructure (webpacker/babel etc)
  • Solid communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Graphql
  • Experience with Rails
  • Experience with Apollo
  • Particularly good at SQL
