The Problem

Why This Solution?

Rules for the draft:

1. Everyone starts with "$100" to bid on teams.
2. Everyone will draft 5 teams total.
3. You can only bid in whole dollar amounts. The minimum bid for any team is $1.
4. Your maximum bid on any team is your remaining money minus $1 for each additional team you still need to draft. E.G. if you've already drafted one team for $40, you have $60 remaining, so your maximum bid on a team is $57 (leaving $3 for three more teams).
5. At the start of the draft we'll randomly set a draft order for everyone drafting.
6. Taking turns starting with the first person and going in a circular order (1,2,..5,6,1..6,1..), that person will nominate a team for drafting from the remaining undrafted teams and must make an initial bid of at least $1. Then going in turn order people can make higher bids, with the highest bidder winning that team.
