Art based on socially relevant real time data - visualising context.
Real time data art of the financial crash - could see the virtual buildings falling down as the stocks crashed - revealing the power of oil, making it tangible, through data art.
Interest in small narratives we can pull from big collections.

Hacked a vending machine to vend crisps based on live feed of data from the BBC.

Worst case scenario interaction for the sake of interaction, because it is cool, et al.
Do we try and make sense of interactive art or should we just experience it? Heightened awareness of audience expertise - always been there, we are just more aware of it.

Interactive art foregroundng how we influence things without realising - eg car emissions and the weather
Can we do art in this space that doesn't need a plug, that isn't technology? No - because everything is technology. Can we do it without the digital network, digital things?
Data as a tool, the same way that language is a tool.
