Privacy Policy for Refou Effective Date: 2026-02-14

  1. Data Collection and Usage Refou ("the Extension") collects and processes the following data solely for the purpose of providing its core functionality (webpage cleaning and text-to-speech):

Webpage Content: When you activate the extension, the text content of the current webpage is extracted and sent to the DashScope API (provided by Alibaba Cloud) for cleaning and speech synthesis. User Preferences: Settings such as preferred voice, playback speed, and API Key are stored locally on your device using Chrome Storage. 2. Data Sharing

DashScope API: The extracted text is transmitted to DashScope for processing. We do not control how DashScope handles this data; please refer to Alibaba Cloud's privacy policy. No Third-Party Sale: We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to any other third parties. 3. Data Retention

The Extension does not permanently store your browsing history or webpage content on our servers. Processed audio may be temporarily cached in your browser (IndexedDB) to improve performance, but this stays on your device. 4. User Consent By using the Extension, you consent to the processing of webpage content as described above. You can revoke access at any time by uninstalling the extension.
