* Check to see the list of installed packages on your app and their folders inside it
sample command: npm list
* Check to see the list of installed packages of your application, it will return the main folder
sample command: npm list --depth=0
* Check to see the dependencies a package depend on
sample command: npm view mongoose
this show only the dependencies
sample command npm view mongoose dependencies
for version of the package installed
sample command npm view mongoose versions
*Installing a Specific Version of a Package
npm i moongose@2.4.2
check to see if the packages is outdated
npm outdated
npm update
To update to major realse insta globaly the:
npm i -g npm-check-updates then run to the terminal npm-check-updates
after it all the packages will updated to the lastest versions
to uninstall packages
npm un mongoose
If you want to find out all the outdated global package
sample command: npm -g outedated
uns install global packages
sample command: npm un -g gulp-cli
