TL;DR

Fill out the spreadsheet to let the group know what you are planning to teach in this meeting, and put your name on the "I'm interested in learning this" column if you see something you want to learn.

Why use this spreadsheet

A big challenge for this group is to match people with the right skill sets. We will have 20-30 mins for you to talk to each other and figure out the right person to pair with. But keep in mind, with 30+ people, it can sometimes get a little overwhelming to try and find the right pair.

For this reason, I created a spreadsheet to pair up members before the meeting.

How it works:

Step 1: Enter your name and the thing you are going to teach

It's good to have a goal and be specific. Examples: "Teach Photoshop" is vague, "I'm going to show you how to create a three column layout in Photoshop" is good, "I'm going to show you how to create this [link here] design in Photoshop" is better. It gives others a good idea about what they will be learning in one hour.

Step 2: If you see something you are interested in

Put your name in "I'm interested in learning this" column.

Step 3: If the person who expressed interest also has something you are interested in

Highlight the person's name. A pair is made.

If you do not find a match

Don't worry, you can still be an 'observer' to anything you are interested in learning. An observer can sit next to the pair, to observe the teaching. An Observer, generally should not interfere with the pair's teaching/learning flow, but it is ok to ask short/clarifying questions.

Since this is the first meetup

I will better the process along the way. Thanks for attending and being patient.
