- in edit mode press L to select a section(like a arm)
- on your avatar that you are taking arms/paws from
- press p and pick selection to seperate the selected mesh from the unselected one
Use this tab to open mesh data
- rename vertex groups to be the same as the equivelent vertex groups in the BZ proto
- you can ignore any that are not relevant to the part you seperated
- Bones will be named the same way, to check bone names, enter edit mode with the Armature selected
- example:
Arm_Lbecomesupper_arm.L
- rename vertex groups to be the same as the equivelent vertex groups in the BZ proto
- on the BZ proto
