Cross compiling things with an emulated toolchain

Using a cross compiler is a pain for a million different reasons. It may be easier to just emulate the entire target system using qemu-user-static, and use that entire emulated target to do cross-compilation.

First step is to set up your environment, as shown below. Then look at the commands in build-arm-pypy.sh and execute them one-by-one, adjusting them for your particular problem.

Download qemu-user-static

1. Grab the latest qemu-user-static for your host architecture (likely amd64) from the debian repos.
2. Decompress the deb package using dpkg -x package.deb ./outdir/ if you're on debian, and ar -xv example.deb if you're not.
3. Decompress the contents of the deb pacakge using tar -xJf data.tar.xz
4. The qemu emulator binaries can be found in ./usr/bin/*
