Clipnosis is a Chrome extension designed to make it easy to summarize YouTube videos by shift-clicking and opening a Gemini chat with a pre-filled prompt.

Data Collection and Use

  • Clipnosis does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or sensitive user data.
  • All functionality runs locally in your browser.
  • When you shift-click a YouTube video, Clipnosis only reads the video’s URL temporarily to generate a Gemini chat prompt.
  • No data is saved, logged, or sent to any third-party servers by Clipnosis.

Data Sharing

  • Clipnosis does not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties.

Security

Because no personal or sensitive user data is collected or transmitted, Clipnosis poses minimal privacy or security risks.
