Privacy Policy for GongIT Support Chrome Extention

1. Introduction This Privacy Policy explains how the Gong-IT Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles and protects information. The Extension is designed solely for use by authorized Navina support agents to monitor Zendesk ticket queues.

2. Data Collection and Usage The Extension collects and processes only the minimum data required for its core functionality:

Zendesk Ticket Data: The Extension fetches ticket IDs, subjects, statuses, and priority levels from navinacs.zendesk.com using the Zendesk REST API. This data is used only to display the internal dashboard, update the icon badge count, and trigger local desktop notifications.

User Settings: The Extension uses chrome.storage.local to store your preferred Zendesk View ID and notification preferences (e.g., "Notify on Comments").

3. Data Storage and Security

Local Processing: All data fetching and processing occurs locally within the user's browser.

No Remote Storage: No ticket data or user settings are transmitted to or stored on any external third-party servers.

Secure Transmission: Data is transmitted exclusively over secure HTTPS connections between the user's browser and Zendesk.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data to third parties. Data is never used for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to the Extension's single purpose of ticket monitoring.

5. User Consent and Control By installing the Extension, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. You may revoke this consent at any time by uninstalling the Extension.

6. Changes to This Policy We reserve the right to update this policy. Any changes will be effective immediately upon the release of a new version of the Extension.
