Privacy Policy for GhostSign

Last Updated: April 14, 2026

GhostSign ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome extension handles your data.

1. Data Collection and Usage

GhostSign is designed to work without a backend. All data processing happens locally within your browser.

  • Temporary Email Data: We use the mail.tm API to create temporary email accounts and retrieve messages. We only access these messages to extract verification codes (OTPs) and confirmation links at your request.
  • Form Data: We automatically fill signup forms with randomly generated names, phone numbers, and passwords. This data is not stored permanently or transmitted to any third party other than the website you are currently signing up for.

2. Permissions

  • Storage: Used to keep your current temporary email session active while the browser is open.
  • Host Permissions: Access to https://api.mail.tm/* is used exclusively to fetch temporary emails.

3. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. No data is collected for analytics, advertising, or marketing purposes.

4. Security

Your temporary email tokens are stored locally using chrome.storage.local. Since these are temporary accounts, we recommend not using them for accounts that require long-term access or contain sensitive personal information.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

6. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us via the Chrome Web Store support page.
