Stop feeding it sterile prompts like:
“Generate test cases for a login page.”
Instead, teach it the role:
“You are a senior QA with 5+ years testing web apps. You know to flag UX breaks, inconsistent behavior, and regression risks.”
Then, supply real context—screenshots, acceptance criteria, environment notes.
AI is pattern-driven. Give it the right shape, and it mirrors your judgment patterns faster than a junior tester can.
What it still won’t do:
- Prioritize bugs by business impact.
- Distinguish poor design from intentional behavior.
- Catch the small usability decay that kills user trust.
Use AI as your first pass, not your final say.
Feed, review, and retrain it like any tool that grows sharper the more you refine it.
Ignore the “plug this prompt” hype.
QA isn’t about how many test cases you generate—it’s about how much noise you filter out before launch.
Define context → instruct AI clearly → audit results → iterate.
That’s the real workflow.
