By pure chance we booked our flights to Barcelona during the night of the Supermoon lunar eclipse. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of part of the event during the flight, but it turns out I could watch the entire show right out of my window somewhere over the Atlantic. The cabin lights were down, we were way above the clouds, and it was just the black of night, the stars, and the moon.
I took out my camera and took as many clear shots as I could. Please enjoy a view of the eclipse unlike any I could have imagined.
At this point I really had to ramp the ISO on the camera to capture the blood red color of the moon. The detail fades a little with the noise, but the color shines through.
