Summary

FocusView does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Period.

What data does FocusView access?

FocusView injects a visual overlay onto web pages to help you focus while reading. It does not read, analyze, or extract any content from the pages you visit.

What data is stored?

FocusView saves your preferences locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. This includes your selected focus mode, dim intensity, blur level, color, reading strip height, and EasyRead text settings. This data never leaves your device.

What data is shared with third parties?

None. FocusView has no server, no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts. There is nothing to share.

Permissions

  • Host permissions: Used solely to inject the visual focus overlay onto web pages. No page content is read or collected.
  • activeTab: Used to apply the overlay to the current tab when you activate FocusView.
  • storage: Used to save your preferences locally and sync the active state across tabs.
