ettain group is looking for a motivated Senior Developer to join one of our healthcare clients in the Nashville area on a 6 month contract-to-hire basis. Our client specializes in developing and implementing wireless communication technology for healthcare providers. This technology empowers hospitals and their caregivers to deliver a higher level of care to their patients by allowing them to be more organized and responsive. In the role of Senior Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of new software features, the maintenance of current functionality, as well as the creation of standardized documentation and department best practices. Responsibilities:
·         Design, develop, and test new software products and features
·         Maintain and update existing code base, including bug fixes and code optimization
·         Design and implement new database schemas
·         Assist team in the definition of new hardware products
·         Provide third tier technical support
·         Mentor team members and aid in the creation of standardized best practices
 
Requirements
·         3+ years of development in scripting languages, candidates with strong Perl experience will be given preference
·         2+ years of experience with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX
·         3+ years of experience with designing and implementing database schemas in MySQL.
·         Experience with Linux operating system; CentOS or other RedHat variants preferred
·         Experience documenting technical processes
