think like a 🚙👷 / scientist

this means breaking up unknown tasks into N google-able steps.

metrics are only guardrails, follow your 💜 too.

quit searching for your dream job.

point out win/win scenarios to your manager to inch your way there.

treat others as they would like to be treated.

ie. different strokes for different folks.

spend part of your time doing what you're already good at, the other part developing new skills.

rinse and repeat until your time is filled doing things you genuinely enjoy doing and are good at.

seek teammates that are generous with their knowledge.

esri's greatest successes started out as side projects.

or outright forbidden.

esri takes baby steps.

progress is slow, but we avoid catastrophic mis-steps.
