Ghostscroll is a browser extension that enables hands-free browsing using facial expressions. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we handle your data.
We do not collect any personal data.
Ghostscroll does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data whatsoever.
Ghostscroll requires camera access to track facial expressions for scroll control and gaze-based cursor movement. Here's how we handle this:
- Local processing only: All camera data is processed entirely within your browser using the MediaPipe Face Mesh library
- No transmission: Video data never leaves your device
- No storage: No images or video are saved or recorded
- No cloud processing: Everything happens locally on your computer
Ghostscroll does not connect to any third-party services.
The MediaPipe library (developed by Google) is bundled directly within the extension. No external code is loaded, and no data is sent to any external servers.
If you purchase Ghostscroll Pro, your license key is validated through Gumroad's API. Only the license key itself is sent for validation — no personal information or usage data is transmitted. The validated license is then stored locally in your browser's extension storage.
Ghostscroll stores the following data locally on your device only:
- User preferences (scroll speed, zone size, sensitivity settings)
- Calibration data (your neutral and expressive facial measurements)
- License key (if Pro user)
- Installation date (for trial period calculation)
This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the extension.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new "Last updated" date.
