Thank you for using our "JSON Formatter Pro" Chrome Extension ("the Extension"). This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand what information the Extension interacts with and to assure you of our commitment to your privacy.

Our core principle is simple: All processing is done locally on your computer. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or the JSON content you work with.

1. Information We Access

The Extension does not collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, or IP address. To perform its function, the Extension only accesses the following information on your local device, with your explicit action:

- Selected Text Content: When you highlight text on a webpage, right-click, and select "Format JSON", the Extension accesses the content you selected. This access is temporary and solely for the purpose of passing the data to the formatter.

- Text Input in Popup: When you type or paste text into the Extension's popup window, it accesses that input. This is necessary to perform the requested formatting or compression.

2. How Your Information Is Used

The information accessed by the Extension is used exclusively for the following purposes:

- To Format and Validate JSON: The text content is processed locally within your browser to be validated, formatted, compressed, and syntax-highlighted.

- To Display Results: For the context menu function, the selected text is passed as a URL parameter to a new tab displaying the result. This process is entirely local to your browser.

All data processing occurs entirely on your local machine. No information about the content you format is ever sent to our servers or any third party.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any of your information with any third parties for any purpose. Since we do not collect your data, there is nothing for us to share.

4. Data Storage and Security

- JSON Content: The Extension processes your text content in-memory or transiently as a URL parameter. It is not stored permanently. The data is discarded once the popup is closed or the result tab is closed.

- Configuration Settings: The Extension does not store any user configuration settings. Every session starts fresh.

5. User Rights and Choices

You have complete control. Since no data is stored by the Extension, there is no data to manage or delete. You can uninstall the Extension at any time to remove it completely.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed.
