Hidden URLs

The URLs were usable from version RP2616 and lower but as of RP2627 update the URLs below are now restricted and will redirect back to the login page.

Hidden from the web interface are the rest of the router's capabilities and advanced settings.

We just need to enter the right url for the settings you're looking for.

We need to be logged in before we can do anything else, use your defined password if you already set the admin password.

Note that you have to log in again if you're idle for a few minutes on the web interface.

were you able to get a copy of 2.xml? it feels like there's a redirect to login page when you request that file. it would be good if there's somebody still on RP2610 and post a copy

No worries. I'm thinking of exploring TR069, maybe learn to setup a local ACS server and point the ONU to it, maybe there's more to discover there. Are you also willing to go that far?

@kbeflo have you realised the kind of bullshit you are doing?

if pldt knows about this they will quickly patch this thing and yeah everyone of us will not have any form of admin access again.

so what's the gain bruh?

@willerbee I would given some of the directories are still blank.

@naix07 awesome man! I checked and included all the entries I've found on 2.xml.

@dark-chronicles if the manufacturer is purposely trying to restrict users from those pages they would have locked them out properly. I think they have just tried to simplify them for most non tech users.

@dark-chronicles, @kbeflo is right. they'd do it properly if they wanted to lock us out. Either way, if you are an advanced user, I'd recommend you disable ALL TR069 options in your onu so you won't be upgraded to future firmwares that will probably lock you out even more (or hopefully they come to their senses and properly implement a secure TR069 so they won't use hacking as an excuse to ridiculously restrict us with hardware that we are paying for), and then just keep an eye out for news if other users are experiencing better or worse on the future firmware updates.

@willerbee actually if they are not purposely trying to lock us out, why would they reason out that they are disabling the admin account due to the nature of the routers easily getting hacked. If you wanna confirm it, you can just call their hotline and hear it for yourself. This is actually a real flaw in their firmware that for now they have no real idea where the permission of the normal user and admin user is identical when issuing the settings on the advanced pages. This shouldn't happen in the first place. common sense bruh :)

Hello all, By using this, I successfully turned on the internet capabilities of my LAN PORT 2. I have 2 pcs that needs lan and it bothered me. I would just like to ask, Is there a way for the firmware not to be updated? Or does it even auto update? I wouldn't want my settings to go back to the way it was. Thanks.

@magmagg, The way TR069 works is that it is always client initiated (the client will INFORM the server), so I disabled both. I have also disabled WAN ACL here http://192.168.1.1/security/wan_acl.asp and disabled each of the entries in the list.

@jumangitjs, thru telnet. i'm not sure if it works on this firmware, i haven't tried. saw someone made a video about it on youtube

Or are there any other trick po to access the "full Admin" priv sa updated firmware ng PLDT ONU Fibr modem? thanks po

  2. in the LAN Binding, Check the boxes...
    LAN 2, LAN 3 AND LAN 4

Hello guys, I was able to access ONU again using the method of setting curuserType. I can't seem to access the pages stated above, but I was able to find it using just the menu.asp page. I'm curious about the SSID binding, so I binded it all SSID 1-4, checked it all and I got the same IP used for both wireless and LAN. I'll test out if they can see each other now locally.

My LAN 1 is bugged and I can't uncheck it. even if I did a hard reset. I think only an NVRAM reset would fix this. lol.

As for the TR069 and Inform, I disabled it. As I'm scared they're going to update the firmware soon.

Have admin access on the ONU.
Enable FTP Server under Management, choose your user or pass
Plug device in USB port of ONU
Download an FTP Client e.g. FileZilla
Enter IP address of ONU as host, then use your chosen user and pass for the username and password.

Hey I've found a solution to this one :D without typing this anymore. Full admin access

Steps:
Login to modem page (192.169.1.1, default pass if unchange 1234.)
Right click> inspect > Source Tab
find and Locate " menu_pldt.asp ". mine is located at loginPage(menu_pldt.asp)>192.168.1.1
Click Colum 30 ( Frame.show(curUserType, menuPath); ) and Refresh
Go to Console and type curUserType=2 and Press enter
Go back to source and press Resume ( Its like play button located at the right)
You have now full admin access.
It works for me

@roflwaffles I believe that only works for RP2611 or older versions. I have the RP2616, and that curUserType=2 won't work.

Anybody still have any idea how to disable the AP isolation? Or to what PLDT TSR calls it, Port Separation? I am able to get internet on those devices plugged in via LAN Cable by setting their IP Address static 192.168.1.x, but pinging devices from LAN to the Wireless devices, or vice versa doesn't work. I have already set the LAN, 2.4G, and 5G bindings checked.

That only worked for me back in RP2608 until PLDT locked me out of both admin and adminpldt with "account unavailable".
Then they updated my ONU to RP2616, gave me back access to admin but changed my adminpldt access to something only they know.

I'm thankful for this guide that works perfectly with RP2616.

The firmware itself is the problem.
If you look at the source code, they tried applying a band-aid fix with:
var APIsolated = '0';
var mbssidapisolated = '0';
var ISOLATIONEnable = '0';
but obviously it doesn't work.

The AP Isolation settings are under Network > WLAN Status > Basic.
https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/33321751/34713187-6f06dc5a-f560-11e7-8e12-e37a0f5c398b.png

Removing style=display: none; reveals the settings.
https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/33321751/34713270-ac31cf0e-f560-11e7-9fcd-67c7aa63c0f5.png

Looking at the code, ISOLATIONEnable's value is always set to 1. Selecting Disable doesn't work.

Ano meaning ng TR069? when I pressed disable for the "TR069 Enable" and "Inform Enable".. it asks for the url, etc.

ano dapat enter ko sa bawat isa?

wala other setting to make sure hindi ma overwritten ang firmware.. kasi if pldt decides tangal na nila port forwarding for good.. bukas issue sila nationwide firmware upgrade and bye bye to port forwarding...

Any way for us to set the DNS server without changing wan settings to static?

Go to this link http://192.168.1.1/internet/dhcp_service.asp and set the primary and secondary DNS server that you wanted, click Aplply.

Then go to this link http://192.168.1.1/internet/wan_sfu.asp set the DNS Relay to Disable click Apply.

Turn off/Unplug your modem for a minute then plug it back in. This is to make sure that the IP addresses are reset using the new DNS including the phones connected to WIFI.

When internet is back, open command prompt and type nslookup and hit Enter. You will see there the current DNS you are using which is the DNS you setup.

Just call PLDT tech, They removed my AP Isolation, took them month, they transferred me to a network engineer. You have to explain where you'll use it (e.g. file transfer from phone to PC, wireless file printing) then you have to explain how to remove it for your router. My router is the one with four antennas I just told them to go to network> basic and told them that the option is locked from my end and they removed it.

For those guys who have been desperately trying to get all ports working on BRIDGE mode, nope it doesn't work that way, kahit pa sa older modems ng PLDT or kahit anong ISP.

When you enable bridge mode, you get a public IP address instead of the private IP address (192.168.1.x) on port 1. Bridge mode is used if you are connecting your modem to a dedicated router. As PLDT can only lease one public IP address per subscriber, the other ports will not work on bridge mode and will get no IP address.

The only solution is to go on Route mode or bridge it through the router. Remember that you can't have more than 1 Public IP address per subscriber.

@chrisbiasbas

About your camera issues: Yes. It is definitely due to the AP Isolation feature on WiFi

The very definition of AP Isolation is that your Wi-Fi network configuration prevents devices from communicating with other devices within your network, so that you can't inter-connect other devices, and devices like Chromecast, Smart TVs, Steam Link, etc. won't be seen by other devices in your network.

If your camera has a feature to connect ad-hoc, you can connect to it. However, if you are "sharing" your camera in the network, it's most likely that your computer can't find it unless it is shareable in the internet cloud (not local cloud).

EDIT:

If you are on the internet cloud but still can't see it, probably it's due to firewall or port forwarding issues. Try to set the camera's local IP address on DMZ mode and see if it becomes discoverable in the internet

Also how exactly is your internet set up? Do you have a modem AND a router? or just a modem? If you are using a modem and router set up, you will need to configure the modem on Bridge mode and connect the router on port 1 so that the router gets a dedicated public IP address to connect directly to the internet. It's best to avoid "Inception" networks (a private network within another private network) as it doesn't work well in the cloud. Bridge mode fixes the excess layer by giving the router a public IP address instead of having to go to the modem first. However, remember to turn off all wireless networks on the modem and you will need to use your old router's connections from now on.

So, it won't change every time I reset the router. Last time I heard years ago, we have to pay extra for a static IP but with the capability in hand (Access to WAN configuration), we can easily change it.

Reason:
It is annoying when the WAN IP gets changed, I am currently hosting a port forwarded server and port forwarding some CCTV RTSP/RTMP streams.

Same problem with IP Isolation here. My UNO modem is RP2616 also.
Ganito then ba scenario nyo? LAN1 ping LAN2 or vv--no response? Both Lan1 and Lan2 are enabled on bindings and can access internet though.
A little funny is on WLAN= 2.4G clients and 5G clients are nag kakitaan, was able to ping vice versa.
Obviously LAN to any Wifi AP-- negative.

Can anyone clarify if i can manually bridge my ONU RP2616? or do i really have to call 171 to request it? i know my way around modems and routers but i don't want the hassle of calling PLDT if any problem arises like speeds limited 2 Mbps and the internet being disconnected. but most of all i don't want PLDT to lock me out of my modem for re-configuring the connection type myself. Can i even just try bridge mode and if speed is limited to 2 Mbps then i'll go back to route mode and get my 20 Mbps back? is that how this modem works? i feel like PLDT modded the firmware so much that settings on the GUI does not match every logic that's behind the interface.

I think this can be done via their hotline, they will then escalate to level 2 support and since they can access our modem remotely this can be done without technician on site? Or logged a ticket, a technician will go onsite and explain to them the issue and the technician will request the admin access to pldt network engr's? paano pala nangyari sayo @opperska ?

@opperska

commented Mar 31, 2018

Then dumating yung technician - inexplain ko nga yung problem ko - which is nga naka enable yung AP Isolation

Hi guys, newbie. i was looking for ways to optimize use of my new fiber network. not a programmer, but dreaming of someday finding the time to study a language. Impressed by all this programming jazz going on in this page :) I hope I could catch up.

my modem was issued to me just this last week of march 2018. it's an5506-04-FA (2134285-F1A(US))

I see several issues on the "PLDT HOME FIBR AN5506-04-FA RP2616 Advanced Settings" thread that I can identify with.

everyone, pls feel free to share your thoughts....

@willerbee re: workarounds to getting admind control of some features, I tried the URL you shared -
http://192.168.1.1/wireless/wifimaclist.asp #WIFI Mac List . But I can't see the interface where I could create a white list. I used to be able to do this on my copper line. any clues...?

@opperska so do u have superuseradmin access na on your account? I saw your post on http://www.symbianize.com/showthread.php?t=1471749&p=23357721#post23357721 and ganun rin modem ko. Pero di nagwork ung password you shared. How come that worked for you?

@kbeflo thanks for sharing the URLs. I tried this one - http://192.168.1.1/security/https_enable.asp # Enable/disable Https . Would you know what are the implications of enabling https for my fiber network connection? i have an ipcam.

@chrisbiasbas i have the same IP cam as you. calling the toll free number of 1800-1888-3565 helped me set up my cam several times as i moved residences. look for the filipino tech support guys. si Phil magaling. bobo mga indians and other nationalities there. Pero right now that i'm on fiber nakikita ko on my android devices ang cam but hindi on my PC so tatawagan ko sya next week.madalas daw sila maka experience ng ganitong issues/requests from clients using fiber.

@vileness1405 were you able to activate VOIP? I see the VOIP light on my modem is lit up. but don't know what the heck it means or how i can use it.

@zxcnasab what is samba? is it desirable to have? what for?

@roflwaffles thanks for sharing this workaround to get adminpldt access. kinda afraid to try this tho since i'm not a programmer. though i've done a bit of html in tweaking web pages/wordpress. Will this work kaya for newer modems like mine? an5506-04-FA (2134285-F1A(US))

@naix07 I'd like to create a white list of mac addresses. any suggestions how i can do that? i used to be able to do this on my copper line since I had access to pldtadmin but now with fiber, wala na.

@Momonraga you said you were thanful for 'this guide that works perfectly with RP2616'. Is this the guide that @naix07 shared on how to tweak the page codes to get admin access?

@NONAM3N i talked to a PLDT network guy who's kinda the boss here. you were able to have your AP isolation 'removed'? As in 'removed' talaga? Or is this the same as 'disable'? From @naix07's post, 'Looking at the code, ISOLATIONEnable's value is always set to 1. merely Selecting Disable doesn't work.' parang ganun rin ang sabi ni @dialtone22

@bongsky2-0 did you find a way to allocate your bandwidth to specific devices?

Thanks! Learning a lot here.

@CentralControl - I do have adminpldt - tignan mo yung kwento ko ->>> https://gist.github.com/kbeflo/de3b1610b1879f8e92966ba106f83f97#gistcomment-2397618

parang walang communication kahit nasa same network sila. nag ping test din
ako from desktop to my mobile phone vice versa pero wala talaga...

i disable na makikita under ng "Network -> Basic" sa last portion
https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/37649133/38172994-f43fea06-35e8-11e8-9068-eec2d2f3864d.png

dinisable ko, bumalik lng after router reboot... naka enable ulit.

(kwentong barbero yun... wala talaga akong kakilala)

Gamit yung mobile phone nya habang naka speaker my tinawagan sya...

At nag paalam sandali yung kausap nya. after mga 3 to 5 mins. bumalik...
sabi paki subukan nga, may ginawa kase ako.

Is there any other Router that can be used to replace this disfunctional AN5506-04 Router that PLDT use ? Like a Linksys or other well known brand. There appears to be as seen by this huge long thread here about what doesnt work, restricted or disabled

I have had PLDT home Fibr and recently upgraded to a Fibr Unlimited 1899 from a lower Plan and now includes a bundled Cignal package

Since switching over the PLDT appears to be frequently unstable and losing connection and only slightly faster wireless . Same AN 5506-04 Router since Dec 2015 - Cignal works fine except when the connectivity is lost ( as opposed to previous Satellite provided Cignal)

Can I just get a more capable router that will interface seamlessly with PLDT home fibr and Cignal TV package . I am not tech and want to spend ages fiddling - just plug and play

Thanks for any info

@BenCarlo - by default kase naka set si AP Isolation by Enable - sooo naka display yun enable - pero using adminpldt account you can disable or enable it - after mo iapply yung settings - naka set yung checkbox sa Enable :) pero inside th modem - kung ano yung inapply mong settings - gagana yun using adminpldt acc

btw - okay ka na sa AP Isolation right? na try mo na i ping wireless and wired vice versa? - you just need to check it - talaga - kahit naka enable parin sa web gui

about naman sa adminpldt and yung password nya

default yun nakita ko kasi while the technician accessing yung email nya hehe - nakalagay dun yung password for PLDT Home Fibr | FiberHome ONU and then yung sa VDSL for PROLINK modems - hindi ko nga lang nakuha yung kay prolink lol

Try niyo tumawag sa 176 then press 3 then press 2. Dyan niyo ipa-disable ung AP Isolation.
Note: For landline only

I did the remove style display trick para mapalitaw pero hindi nababago eh, enabled parin.

You can check by typing ispNameCode in the console and hit Enter. The response will be the code.

Software Version RP2647
Hardware Version WKF2.134.2****G
Device Model AN5506-04-F

In our case, since it is hidden by default, we do not really know how the configuration is processed when the changes is applied. There may be options that only them can update/save. So I think the best way to totally disable AP isolation is by the help of their Network Engineers to tweak the settings from their end.

Sino na nakapag try to call 176 to request for AP Isolation disable as per @PLDTiti?
Na try kung i dial at mukhang pang internal lang ata for troubleshooting ng mga onsite technicians?

Hello mga sir, i dont know if this the correct forum for my inquiry, if not will delete it.

This regarding the bridging mode, i was able configured it with out the help of pldt and didnt exp yung drop of bandwidth for 2 months to be honest tumaas pa nga siya sa alloted bandwidth ko but right now bumaba na to 2mbps.

My question. 1. Why nung ng bridgemode ako tumaas bandwidth

  1. Do i need to get help from the pldt to correctly configure yung bridgemode ko and what would be my pre checks before i ask them to do that.

Thank you

@opperska.
Thanks paps, yeah was surprise also, my plan is only 3meg after i bridge it by myself the speed skyrockted upto 40 to 50Meg. Actually was reading some forum in tipidpc and some of the subscriber there exp same thing some didnt results are a bit erractic. Just only wondering.

With regard their bridging mode are going to do this remotely? What si the diff between the briding mode i did and the one their going to do? Oo pla na disable ko yung tr06 nila and wan acl should i enable it again so that they wont be suspicious of me changing some config on the dev

Question lang is paano ko ma edit ang setting ng modem para hindi ma remote access or upgrade ng PLDT ang aking router since nagagamit ko sya for now sa gusto kong mangyari.

TIA!
