# Privacy Policy for Focus Task Timer
**Effective Date:** February 16, 2026
Focus Task Timer ("the Extension") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy clarifies our data practices for this browser extension.
### 1. Zero Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). This includes, but is not limited to:
- Your name, email, or contact details.
- Your browsing history or website interactions.
- Any information about your tasks or time management habits.
### 2. Local-Only Operation
The Extension operates entirely within your local browser environment.
- **Timer Logic:** All countdown calculations and timer states are handled in real-time on your device.
- **Storage:** If the Extension saves any settings (such as timer duration), they are stored locally using the Chrome `storage.local` API and never leave your computer.
- **No Remote Servers:** We do not maintain any backend servers; therefore, no data is ever transmitted externally.
### 3. Permissions Justification
In accordance with the Chrome Web Store's Minimum Permission Policy:
- **Storage:** Used solely to persist your timer preferences locally on your machine.
- **No Tracking:** We do not use background scripts to track your activity across sessions or websites.
### 4. Third-Party Services
The Extension does not use any third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising frameworks.
### 5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Any changes will be indicated by the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
### 6. Contact
For any inquiries regarding this policy, please contact the developer via the support channel on the Chrome Web Store.
