1. Data Collection The "ShowRating" extension processes the text content (specifically, movie and TV show titles) of the Amazon Prime Video pages you visit. This data is transmitted to our backend provider (Cloudflare) solely for the purpose of retrieving public rating information from the OMDb API.
2. Data Usage We do not store your browsing history, IP address, or any personally identifiable information.
- Movie Titles: Sent to our server to fetch ratings.
- Cache: Successful rating lookups are temporarily cached in a database to improve performance for other users. This cached data contains only the Movie Title and its Rating. It contains no user data.
3. User Preferences Settings such as "Minimum Rating Filter" or "Badge Visibility" are stored locally on your device using Chrome's Storage API and are never transmitted to us.
4. Third-Party Services
- OMDb API: Used to retrieve movie ratings.
- Cloudflare: Hosts our backend logic and database.
