| # PostLedger — Privacy Policy | |
| *Last updated: February 2026* | |
| ## Overview | |
| PostLedger is a browser extension that extracts your LinkedIn posts and engagement statistics for personal export. Your privacy is important to us. | |
| ## Data Collection | |
| PostLedger **does not collect, store, or transmit any user data to external servers**. There is no analytics, tracking, or third-party service of any kind. | |
| ## How Data Is Processed | |
| - All extracted data (LinkedIn posts, engagement statistics) is processed **locally in your browser** | |
| - Data is stored temporarily in the browser's local storage during extraction | |
| - Exported files (CSV, DOCX) are saved directly to your device via the browser's download API | |
| - No data ever leaves your browser | |
| ## Permissions | |
| - **Access to linkedin.com**: required to read post content and engagement data from your activity page. The extension only accesses content that is already visible to you as a logged-in user. | |
| - **Access to media.licdn.com**: required to download images attached to your posts when you choose the image export option. | |
| - **Local storage**: used to save posts progressively during extraction, ensuring data is not lost if the browser is interrupted. | |
| - **Downloads**: used to save export files directly to your device. | |
| ## Third-Party Services | |
| PostLedger uses **no third-party services**. No data is shared with any external party. | |
| ## Changes to This Policy | |
| If this policy changes, the updated version will be published in the extension's repository. | |
