# PostLedger — Privacy Policy
*Last updated: February 2026*
## Overview
PostLedger is a browser extension that extracts your LinkedIn posts and engagement statistics for personal export. Your privacy is important to us.
## Data Collection
PostLedger **does not collect, store, or transmit any user data to external servers**. There is no analytics, tracking, or third-party service of any kind.
## How Data Is Processed
- All extracted data (LinkedIn posts, engagement statistics) is processed **locally in your browser**
- Data is stored temporarily in the browser's local storage during extraction
- Exported files (CSV, DOCX) are saved directly to your device via the browser's download API
- No data ever leaves your browser
## Permissions
- **Access to linkedin.com**: required to read post content and engagement data from your activity page. The extension only accesses content that is already visible to you as a logged-in user.
- **Access to media.licdn.com**: required to download images attached to your posts when you choose the image export option.
- **Local storage**: used to save posts progressively during extraction, ensuring data is not lost if the browser is interrupted.
- **Downloads**: used to save export files directly to your device.
## Third-Party Services
PostLedger uses **no third-party services**. No data is shared with any external party.
## Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published in the extension's repository.
